Today my wife lost her friends Daisy and Bonnie. They were minature Brahma hens that she had raised from chicks. She originally had three. Daisy was a buff hen, Bonnie was a white hen and Cleo was a black speckled hen. Cleo was taken last year by an eagle that swoped down in our back yard and grabbed her right in front of Linny my wife. 
Today when Linny when out to feed the cluckers all that was left were their feathers. We believe that a racoon may have got into their pen.
The girls gave my wife a lot of joy over the past two years that we had them. They were a lot of fun to watch. They were also very tame. If they caught sight of you they would crow until you came to see them.
